When a new product comes on the market that pleases the consumer you will see sales surge and options for the product increase. That is the case with the new luxury vinyls.

Initially we thought that these floating vinyls were going to simmer down from a full boil and that wood flooring would make a hefty comeback but that has not happened yet. This goes to show that a successful product is well received by the customer. The best review is the neighbor who sees and likes what their neighbor has installed in their home.

So why are the new floating vinyls so popular? The pricing is right. There is a wide range of pricing starting at about $4 SF to $7 SF. The pricing factors are authenticity of color and pattern, ceramic bead finishes, quality of the click system, wear layer and overall thickness.

Floating floors are more forgiving than glue-down floors so there generally is less prep work.

If you are considering Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) or Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) it will serve you well with a quality product and professional installation.

Alterna Luxury Tile sale

There is nothing quite like Alterna. It is an engineered stone flooring. The core is made from limestone and the surface is made with a non-porous resilient surface. It is easy to clean and care for. It is ideal for high-moisture areas.

How often when visiting our southern states do we love the ceramic tile we see installed. But here in the Pacific NW we often have to use area rugs to warm the floor. Not so with these tiles. They are warmer to the touch.

There are 12 grout colors to select from. OR…..forget the grout to make cleaning even easier. The look will be a tight rectified tile look.

Home for the Holidays

Yes, this time comes every year. The countdown to Thanksgiving, Christmas and then New Year’s Eve.

This is a busy time for companies like ours. We are already booked up for hard-flooring jobs through November. We usually always have time to slip in a carpet job but it usually is pretty disruptive at this time of year. Especially if there is a Christmas tree. (That is why we are so busy in January. Many say, ” We will do it after the holidays.”

Happy New Year

What a great year it was. We moved into our new space and it has been well-received. The new showroom really features the great products we carry.

We anticipate a new laminate addition arriving in January. We have already sold many of the first patterns in this great line. The core is infused with melamine and offers a 50 year warranty…Yes you read that correctly….3.99 sf.
